Huh. You know, I had an affinity for blue hoodies when I was your age.

Oh. Who are you and why are you talking to me?

//lol chill max//

*david rushes to the hospital*

*he is waiting outside Max’s room so that when
David arrives he won’t be woken again right away*

David: is he okay?! Oh my god I could never forgive myself if something happened to him! How did this happen anyway?!

He’s fine. He’s able to wake up on his own, I
just told him to take a little nap. *sighs* I didn’t get the chance to
introduce myself. I’m Angela’s father – I’m camped nearby studying the volcano.

David: please, can you tell me how this happened? I need to know if the lake is unsafe so I can decide if I need to close it or not

*sighs again* The lake is fine. But… Max
cannot swim. Don’t let him tell you he can – it’s a lie. You need to watch him
and keep him away from it.

David: oh no! Don’t worry, I will! Wait, what were you guys doing by the lake anyway? Did max fall in?

He… he ran off from me. I came over to see my
daughter – and meet her counselors – and I met him. He… we got to talking, but
we… we somehow got onto some touchy subjects. He’s… having issues. Many issues, I’m afraid. We… we went to
find you because there are things that he wanted to tell you and… he suddenly
ran off and jumped in the lake.

David: ohmygosh! I…I can’t believe I didn’t know…so…he tried to…kill himself? This was a suicide attempt? *david is becoming more frantic*

David, calm down, please. Don’t shout it out
here – Max doesn’t want more people than necessary to know. He doesn’t want anyone to know, but… well, it’s too late
for that.
