insulting Hancock’s brother, who Carlos of course never met. He also wasn’t sure if ‘sorry’ was appropriate – the guy wasn’t dead, just… apparently an asshole.“I’m sorry, I uh, I shouldn’t have brought him up, heh. Always get myself all worked up thinkin’ about him.” He glanced over, offering an apologetic little smile. “What uh…. what kinda stuff do ya do for fun back home?”
Carlos smiled at him. “Well, I work with technology and
trying to combine them with modern magic. It’s… about all I do, really. I enjoy
it, which… is what I’d always wanted in a career.”
