“I know… I just… ummm you know…..thought maybe you’d just like to sleep… nothing else. That’s all.”
“I’d… like to sleep?” Carlos asked. “End of sentence?”
“Yeah. Move into my room and you know.. at night.. we just sleep….no nookie nookie..”
“Oh,” Carlos said flatly. He didn’t mean to sound
disappointed… he just thought that Yondu might’ve known about his sleeping
trouble. “Um… you’re not a light sleeper… are you?” Carlos then asked him, a
little nervously.“Nope. I sleep like a log. Honestly…”
Oh. Well, Carlos could work with that. “Okay – well, that’s good,” he said. He offered Yondu a smile. “I’d… I’d be willing to give it a shot. Just one night at first – see how well it goes.” Eventually, if they kept going the way they were going, they’d obviously be sharing more often. Carlos just wanted to know if his sleeping problems would get in the way of Yondu’s sleep first though.
Yondu smiles and kisses his forehead as they head out. “Now when we go out there. Remember. Do not let go of the side of the ship. Do t want to float away. But no worries I’ll get ya if you do.”
“I remember,” Carlos said. “THough you really need to get a tether system. It’s really dangerous without one.”
“Hmmmmm not a bad idea…. I’ll se about getting it established……” checks hisspace suit nodding at times and adjust others. “There ya go. Gonna have to get you some leathers…. gets chilly. Well… let’s go.” Opens the hatch and holds Carlos as a gust tries to pull them outbto the void.
The gust surprised Carlos and he clung onto Yondu’s arm as he tried to keep his feet on the floor. However, it quickly proved to be useless and he was left floating, hands tightly gripping Yondu’s arm and elbow.
