“And you think I can?” he laughed, “Chocolate bars were one of the only foods I kept in my car a long time. Hershey was great because the pieces were small and I could eat one when I started feeling dizzy.” that probably wasn’t a good conversation to have in front of their son, so he offered his hand to the boy, “We’ll try a few and see which ones you like, okay? But that doesn’t mean you can just eat candy all night. You still need vegetables.”

Carlos grinned. “I know that… I’m just worried we’ll be buying the candy that we’ll be eating ourselves instead of for the trick-or-treaters.” He thought a bit. “Maybe get the kind with nuts? Then I definitely won’t eat them – allergies you know.” He smiled. “And if YOU happen to eat them… then you can’t kiss me for a while.” It sounded like a good incentive NOT to eat the candy they buy, Carlos thought.
