So if public descriptions of the moon are illegal in Night Vale, does that mean Cecil broke the law in the pilot and “One Year Later” episodes?

my dude Cecil has broken so many laws

See, this is why I think that many of the day-to-day horrors and things-that-are-illegal in Night Vale are probably not as dangerous as Cecil makes them out to be. He’s still alive, still broadcasting, has never lost control of the show for more than a few weeks (…that we know of), and Night Vale, despite regularly experiencing mass deaths, disappearances, or transformations, has not been reduced to a ghost town either figuratively or literally. Probably. 🙂

On the other hand, Cecil seems to have (perhaps unbeknownst to him) an even weirder relationship with time and/or the multiverse than does most of Night Vale, so who knows if his being alive is an accurate metric?
