“It wouldn’t be on the floor making a mess?” Carlos suggested, and he giggled. “Get it? Because we use a VACUUM cleaner on the floor? Heheh! But, um, really I don’t know – popcorn pops when the water inside turns into vapor and expands. I dunno if a vacuum would have the same effect.” He grinned. “But that’s what experimenting is for. And we can use the control to compare efficiency.”
