Magnus watched the little succulents, giving them a little spray when they looked like they got thirsty, “Carlos!” they whisper-yelled across the lab, “I think they’re trying to sleep, they keep yawning at me.”

Carlos looked up, his eyes appearing magnified through his goggles. “You… you sure about that?” he asked. He didn’t know much about plants – he was a scientist, not a botanist. But if a forest could whisper, then maybe succulents could yawn?
