“I know in theory why they’re useful, I just don’t know why tiny glass houses get so hot. You’d think that since it’s clear it couldn’t absorb sunshine or heat like that. Like… Not like darker colors. Darker colors attract, or… Is it absorb, more sunlight?” maybe that wasn’t right either

“Dark colors absorb more sunlight,” Carlos said. “The glass doesn’t absorb sunlight though – it lets light in, but once the light reflects off of something it becomes heat. The heat can’t go through the glass, so it gets trapped inside and makes things warmer.”
