In the Far Cry 3 version, Carlos is part of a science team that shows up on Rook Islands when, of course, they realize that they were in troubled territory and need to get out as soon as possible.
Far Cry 4 I haven’t roleplayed very much – but i’d usually start out with another science expedition gone wrong.
I haven’t played Far Cry 5 yet – though I REALLY want to. But as it stands, there’s no premise in place for that one yet.
