Well, I can understand how that can be pretty jarring. Here’s what I’ve heard though:
- Melatonin supplements. It’s a hormone that you can find in pill form in the pharmacy section of the market. One pill 30 minutes before bed time could help you fall asleep. My siblings use them to sleep.
- Keep your room cool. Not freezing, but cool. In my personal experience, heat just makes everything uncomfortable when you’re trying to sleep, even if it’s perfectly comfortable while you’re awake.
- Darkness. Should be pretty straight-forward, right?
- Don’t eat immediately before bed. If your stomach is working, it can make it hard to sleep. from what I remember, dinner should be eaten 3+ hours before bed – usually around seven pm. Water though should be just fine.
I really hope this helps. Good luck sleeping, okay?
