☝️ – Tap my muse on the shoulder

Newt had been walking down the street, case in hand when he suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder. He paused, not sure who was there, but he turned to see–

“Carlos?” He asked in disbelief. It had been ages since he’d last seen the man. What were the chances of seeing him again?

Newt chuckled quietly, and looked down slightly. “I’m hoping when my book is published, America’ll become more accepting.” He said, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Well, I certainly hope so,” Carlos told him. “I’m looking forward to it. I know my class on magical creatures was pretty lacking at Ilvermorny. The information just isn’t there for us to learn yet.”

Newt smiled warmly, and nodded. “Hopefully the information will just continue to grow and spread.” He said softly.

“Hopefully,” Carlos agreed with a nod. Carlos wasn’t sure what else to say for a moment. But then he had an idea. “You’re not busy right this moment, are you? Have you had lunch?”
