Please keep in mind that, however hard my muse may argue something or however confidently they make a statement, they can be wrong. It’s my muse’s opinion, and my muse talking, and their perception is skewed. Do not feel like everything out of my character’s mouth is the truth, or that I’m godmodding.
1. Satyrs are known for being pretty promiscuous. In Carlos’ case, that’s not true. In fact, it’s one of the reasons he lives alone – he’d rather learn about the world around him than go chasing nymphs all day like a certain satyr we all know and love
2. Carlos has taken up a hobby in alchemy. However, due to his status as a forest creature, he can’t do much past potions and ‘simpler’ machines. But a great way to bribe him/be friends with him is to bring him some technology and machines from other species to play with.
3. Children are a bit of a weird concept to Satyr Carlos. He has pretty much forgotten what it’s like to be a child, and living alone of course hasn’t helped. He doesn’t know much about what motivates a child and will often under or overestimate them with equal frequency.
4. He is still allergic to nuts. His diet is almost completely fruit and tuber based. Nuts, do not interact. But the fur allergy is non-existent in this AU. Instead, he’s allergic to some grasses.
5. He wears clothes! He likes having clothes because he thinks it adds a sort of sophistication to his life. Other satyrs are more motivated by pleasures of the earth, but Carlos’ niche is pleasures of the mind – as in mental stimulation through puzzles and discoveries. His clothes are, of course, linen and plant-based – the linens were pretty expensive, to be honest.
Carlos went out into the storm with his equipment, since the weather was really interesting around Sleepy Peak Peak (what, with Spooky island and that one side of the lake always being covered in dark, foreboding clouds).
As he approached one of the locations of a lightning strike however he paused, seeing a person on the ground. Oh no – did it strike someone?
Carlos hurried over and dropped his equipment to the side to start inspecting the body for life.
“He-hello? Hello, can you hear me? Sir?”
J: he chuckled softly “I don’t know about other demons, But My broken
brain just won’t let Me sleep most nights.. Then again, I think I had
this before I died, So it might not be involved with demons…”
“Ah… so you have insomnia then,” Carlos said. “At least, that’s what it sounds like to me. “
J: he tilted his head slightly “Insomnia? I think I’ve read about that before..”
“Oh, you have? That’s good. Hey, maybe do you want to mention it to the doctors? They can help you sleep tonight if you ask nicely, I think.”
J: he shrgus “I prefer to sit awake and rethink everything I’ve ever done/Hate Myself, Really saves time during the day”
Carlos frowned at that. “That doesn’t sound like a good use of your time,” he said softly. But he didn’t speak about it further – it was probably a sensitive subject.
J: he started to say something before the nurse walked in
Nurse: “Sir, Visiting hours are over”
J: “Damn.. Guess we can talk more later”
Carlos nodded with a smile. “Sure,” he said, and he stood up from his chair. He offered Jon a hand to shake. “I’ll see you in the morning, alright?”
J: he smiled as he shook the others hand “I’ll be looking forward to it, But what time do You think ?”
“When visiting hours open again,” Carlos said. “9… 9.30. I’ll be here.”
