“Irish charm?” Carlos asked with a smile. “Or maybe another sort of charm? How’s your wand-work with illegal spells? I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Heh.”

“Heh, I’m not so big on usin’ those kinds’a charms on folks, but who knows? Maybe I added a little somethin’ to that potion I have ya.” He joked, shooting a wink at Carlos so he’d know he was joking.

Carlos just laughed. This was the most fun he’d ever had with a near-stranger already, and their trip was just starting.

“You know, not everyone I meet is as god a sport as you with jokes.”

“I don’t know…
maybe…. never looked. We’re so rare it’s… we’re not even catalogued as
fully a intelligent people… then again not all of us can talk…”… I’m
sorry Carlos…”

“No – No, don’t be,” Carlos told him. “We just… clearly neither of us knew. Just…” Carlos sighed. “There’s got to be someone. Someone in the entire galaxy – a historian or an anthropologist or a doctor or something – who knows what to do.”

“Yeah… I’ll go back to my warbird in the forest make a few calls. See if anyone out there has some kind of… idea….” looks at him then down ears dropping at the rejection.

Carlos reached and took Yondu’s face in his hands. “Yondu – please understand me when I say this – No, it’s not a good idea for us to try to make this work. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t care a lot about you. I do. And I want you to be safe and healthy. Whatever I can do to help you toward that, I’m willing to do it! Okay? I’m still your friend.”

Yondu looks at him with a crushed look and his ears droop down. “So…. there’s no chance? None? Friend….. yeah…. friend……….friend.” Why did this hurt so much.

That look Yondu was giving him broke Carlos’ heart. “Yondu… this wouldn’t work out, no matter how much I want it to. I’m not meant for space. I survived in it, yeah, and you were a great help, but… I’m just not meant to leave my solar system.”

This was really hard for Carlos to tell him. Carlos really didn’t want to talk about it anymore… he wished Yondu could understand so Carlos didn’t have to keep saying it.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

This is perfect and amazing on so many levels.

I got the chills

I fuckin love the MCU and Marvel fans. They even make me like the human race sometimes.

Vordeel is a damn amazing editor, and y’all should subscribe to them on YouTube.

i wish i could delete me ask after i send them, i’m scared i sounded too… weird in my last ask.. i’m sorry -late night anon

((You didn’t sound weird in that last ask, I promise. I am actually flattered. 🙂 But seeing as you’re anxioius about it, I won’t publish it. It’ll just be between you and me. I don’t think it was weird. I thought it was nice and very self-aware.

Regarding the ask you sent before that (the one about the nausea and the doctor’s office):

thank you.. th strange part is, though, i have been taking care of myself pretty well the last couple of days, though i have been having difficulty eating due to always feeling like i’m about to throw up. my parents said they would book a doctor appointment for me but i have yet to get any confirmation on that yet… though i’ve usually been one to think on the bright side, my mind’s been wandering to the worst-case scenarios… -late night anon

If the nausea is perpetual then they need to get you to a doctor asap. It could be from a migraine, which is treatable, but it’s definitely no fun. Migraines are a beast that not everybody knows about or understands. Not necessarily super dangerous (that I know of), but they do make it tough for people to function at full capacity. It’s a suffering that we shouldn’t have to go through. So I would ask about the doctor appointment, because you ARE unwell and you need treatment.

I am not under the assumption that your parents will understand this because I know that some people don’t understand migraines because it’s not something you can necessarily see.

Hey, just wanted to drop in here to tell the anon from earlier that nausea with migraines is very common. If I don’t lay down as soon as the pain hits my max tolerance, I will throw up. So it’s very likely you’re dealing with migraines if you have a lot of these symptoms. Headache, nausea, sensitivity to light, sound, smells, aura ( usually happens before a migraine. You’ll see spots and streaks in your vision. I don’t get an aura though. Not everyone does. )

((Great information! I don’t usually get migraines so here’s some good info from someone who does.

do you ever get those spilting headaches that just won’t go away no matter what you do? has the pain from that ever gotten so bad you’ve thrown up? is that normal..? -late night anon

((If it’s a migraine, then yes it can get that bad. Migraines especially have a tenancy to make one feel especially shitty. They’re usually located in the frontal lobe area of the brain, right behind the eyes.

But to throw up… I honestly haven’t heard of that. I’ve heard that it can make you feel like throwing up… but if it’s that bad then you might need to see a doctor. There’s a shot called
Sumatriptan which my mom has to get on occasion if it’s especially bad. That would be at the doctor’s office.

Try drinking some caffeine or taking some Excedrin-type medicine (it has caffeine in it). That should help, as well as keeping hydrated.

I hope that you feel better, I really do. And I hope that this was helpful.
