As the summer days rolled by, a full moon crept closer and closer. Thankfully, the woods surrounding the camp were large and caves were scatted everywhere, maybe Carlos could wait this out in a cave? all he had to do was find one and hope some other animal didn’t make its home there, right? -(the worse starter maker) L

Carlos wandered through the forest. He knew he’d seen a cave somewhere – it looked like an old bear cave, though he hadn’t gone in it before. He wanted to be as far away from his camp and the summer camps, in case the children had an idea to wander around at night to hunt for snipes. The full moon would make visibility perfect for it, so it was a reasonable concern in Carlos’ mind.

He finally came across the cave he was looking for. And not too soon either – the moon would rise probably within the next ten minutes. Carlos ventured forth, holding his flashlight up to search the inside of the cave. Hopefully it was empty. Could a werewolf beat a bear? Maybe?

he huffed slightly, looking at the entrance of the cave

Carlos lifted an eyebrow in confusion. “You… do?“ he guessed.

he whined quietly, laying his head down

Carlos didn’t understand. “Drake, what do you want?” he asked.

Why the hell – Max? Max, where are you buddy? I need to know how you’re feeling.

@dedmaxsearchhistory

*he nods* alright, let my grab my wallet then we can go

Oh – you don’t have to, Max! I would have paid for it! *he smiles at the kid*

wh- really? you don’t too..

It’s okay, Max. I’m very willing. *He just continues smiling* I’d like to, if you’re comfortable with it. Or at least buy part of it for you.

*he smiled softly* yeah alright, then let’s go..!

*nods* Alright. Is Daniel going to be alright here by himself?

he should be, he has everything he needs here..

Okay then. My car’s in the usual spot – not very far.

*he nodded and stepped out of the tent, waiting for Carlos*

*Carlos followed after Max and buttoned up the tent so that Daniel couldn’t get out.*

*he glanced at his phone* i wonder if they have different type of brushes..

Toothbrushes? Yeah, they should.

i want an iron man one! *he smiled*

*Carlos grinned* Iron Man is an excellent choice. *And it kinda made Carlos want to get one for himself too – Tony Stark was the best*

*he started walking* he’s like the best superhero because he’s not impossibly powerful

He’s also very clever. He uses his brain to its absolute ability, and then some.

yeah, and when he flew that giant missle into the black hole thinking he was gonna die? .. honestly mood

*Carlos was confused* Um… ‘mood’?

☝️ – Tap my muse on the shoulder

Newt had been walking down the street, case in hand when he suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder. He paused, not sure who was there, but he turned to see–

“Carlos?” He asked in disbelief. It had been ages since he’d last seen the man. What were the chances of seeing him again?

Despite the fact that what Carlos was saying was true, Newt still blushed and looked bashfully down at the table for a moment. “I appreciate that, Carlos.” He said, offering a small smile again. “But really, I didn’t do much – if anything, you helped me by allowing me to take that bundimun.”

“You did the research on the bundimun and came up with an idea to remove it without harming it,” Carlos pointed out. “Not to mention the actual work that came with cleaning up after it. I would have never known how to even approach the problem without you.”

He glanced down at the menu, and was quickly confused. “What’s a ‘banger’?” he asked, appearing a little troubled.

Newt smiled softly, though at Carlos’ question he gave a quiet chuckle. “A banger is a kind of sausage. They’re very good.” He said, and crossed his legs.

Carlos looked at him. “Sausage?” he asked. “Is it spicy? Also, I don’t understand some of the other things listed here… chips? Like, those thin crispy potato things?”
