“I… Have heard of neither of those things. It’s not a complete list.”
Carlos smiled at him. “I got you, honey,” he said. “I’m teasing. But catsup is like ketchup, but it’s not named the same. And fry sauce has ketchup in it, but it tastes totally different. I can make some for you though – I’ve been to Utah at least once.”
Why, why was I cursed with such idiot sisters?
“Because your parents thought you needed company?” Carlos suggested, a little smartly, with a small teasing smile.
“I got all the company I needed when I was eight and Drake hatched. Didn’t need built in annoyances,” Mia was being dramatic as she draped herself over her friend.
Carlos just grinned wider. He put an arm around her shoulder and gave her a pat. “There there,” he said. “May I ask what brought this on?”
“Cass seems to have decided it’s great fun to flirt with everyone she meets and Loni seems dead set on fighting everyone she meets. I’m half convinced they’re going to start an intergalactic incident.”
“Sounds like they take after you,” Carlos joked. “But seriously… I think kid siblings are meant to be weird. I’ve got a brother, you know… he’s almost too smart for his own good sometimes.”
“Carlos, we’re triplets. And I’m technically the youngest by like. An hour or something. How am I the responsible one?” She made a face of mock disgust at that, shaking her head slightly.
“You know what, I never would’ve known if you hadn’t told me,” Carlos said. “Maybe it’s a spiritual thing? Like, your spirit’s older than theirs?”
“I’ve compiled a list of things that are not Ketchup.”
“Oh yeah?” Carlos asked, grinning slightly. “Where does fry sauce stand on that list? And catsup, for that matter?”

‘ no, no! he’s a good zombie. ‘
“You mean zombie as in perfectly indoctrinated by the school system, the media, authority figures, and the government? Or is this a literal zombie from Walking Dead?”
“Uh… closer to the first one, if I absolutely had to choose? But he’s just a kid in a costume – let him alone.”
