“But we keep food and dishes in the cabinets, Magnus,” Carlos pointed out. “Maybe if they’d like, we can get mushroom stickers. But I’m not sure we should have fungus spores floating around – especially with Seres in the apartment.”

“I don’t think it would fit when I wear overalls.” they said, equally as seriously, “It’s plastic, so it bounces pretty good, I just wanted to make sure.”
“We’ll go looking,” Carlos said. “I just want to make sure we’re not getting the, er… ‘nutrient-rich’ water all over the floor.” He took Magnus’ hand again and started walking toward the exit of the apartment.
“It’s okay, I’m in the splash zone.” the dirt was getting a bit heavier now that it was wet, but they persisted. Gardening was a great way to turn noodle arms into gardening arms
Carlos watched the bucket, and after a bit he finally shut off the nozzle. “Do you need the hose anymore, or should I just go ahead and turn off the faucet?”
They nodded, giving Carlos a thumbs up, “Bucket is in place, fork at the ready!” it was looking like a very hot day, they hoped their arms could be strong enough to turn it all
Carlos nodded and turned the hose. “Okay, here we go,” he said. He could smell the compost, and yep – that smelled like manure.
