Hey Max… buddy. I need to ask you some more questions.

*answers on the second ring* Faeroune Funerary, you stab ‘em, we slab ‘em. What’s up?
I – wait, ‘Funerary’? Nevermind… Mia, I have some very serious concerns that I need to talk to you about. I’m working over nearby Sleepy Peak Peak studying the volcano, and there’s a Summer Camp nearby. It’s Angela’s summer camp.
It’s called a joke, dear. You should try it some time~ I know where Angie’s summer camp is, it’s one of the reasons I picked it. What’s going on, do I need to feed someone else to the dragons?
Feed – wha? I – maybe?? I don’t – *he’s freaking out a
little bit, so he stops to take a few deep breaths* Mia, this place is shady as
hell and children have been exposed to things they shouldn’t have. Max was
telling me what happened at Spooky Island last night…Spooky Island? Did that ghost kid turn evil or something? What’s going on that Angie hasn’t written home about? *actually sounds concerned now, all traces of teasing gone from her voice*
Oh, there’s a ghost there too, now? *he pauses and takes
another deep breath* Okay… Um, one of the kids – Max – told me how he and a
couple of his friends went to Spooky Island. He said they saw the Quartermaster
at some kind of… orgy? And Max was very clearly traumatized by it. Also, he
told me that a couple of the parents had had a coupling in front of all the
kids on Parent’s Day. I don’t think Angela was at the camp yet, but… I’m very concerned, Mia!The ghost kid is confined to the island and not hurting anyone, so I just let him be when I found him. I didn’t hear about either of those other two things. The…orgy…? On Spooky Island is in an area forbidden to the campers, so I don’t particularly care, but if you get me the names of those two parents I’ll have some words with them if you don’t want to do it.
What? I don’t know who they were – I… I guess I’ll ask Max
later. But Mia, the Quartermaster should know better than engaging in those acts
anywhere near the campsite! Those
kids obviously ignored the rule and went to the island anyway!Do you want me to have a talk with him or something? Because I mean, as long as it’s off the camp grounds and not actively involving any of the children, there’s not much that can be done. Have you found out about anything else we should be worried about?
Max told me about a cultist. Or… he just said there was a
cultist that came to the camp. Admittedly I don’t know much about it, but I’m
very concerned about that as well.

Kinda
became attached I guess, I’ve had that tent three summers running. I
bunk with Nikki & Neil now but that’s no so bad, they’re cool.Ah. That kid in the yellow sweater and the green-headed
girl, right? Well, it’s good that you made friends.Yeah, we tried to leave the camp on their first day so that was fun.
*snorts softly, caught off-guard by his own amusement* I
see. Well, here you are. I hope you have a good night.Thanks. You too.
*shines the light to the bottom of the door of Max’s tent to help him get inside.*
*he quietly steps into his tent, trying not to wake Nikki or Neil* thanks again.
*whispers* You’re welcome, kiddo. Goodnight.
Yeah, ‘night.
*smiles and waves at him. He then turns and heads back to the campfire to throw some dirt on it and put it out. He was definitely going to call Mia that night, or early the next morning. He needed to talk to her*

Not often, the most crazy stuff that happens now is just the woodscouts invading, but that’s only like once a month.
Once a month? So they’ve invaded, like… twice now?
At least, they’ve come by multiple times to try to steal the camp, kinda like team rocket but with pre-pubecent assbaskets.
Team Rocket were
pre-pubescent.But I don’t understand… this is supposed to be a summer
camp. What… why is so much sh… weird stuff happening? This is not normal!*max shrugs* We’re not a normal summer camp. There’s a bunch of weird places and this camp is just one of ‘em.
I… *he pauses for a moment* Okay, granted – there are weird
places. (I live on one of them). But I mean, this is just plain dangerous. I
have to talk to David tomorrow about all this. *He then sighs* I should get in
touch with Mia too… I find it hard to believe she has no idea what’s going on
here…David’s aware of the woodscouts, he’s just too cheery to see anything wrong with them. It was the same thing with Daniel and Campbell.
Who’s Daniel? Nevermind – it’s too late for all of this…
*sighs* I should get you to your tent. I’ll come back tomorrow sometime. Come
on, kiddo… *starts walking again toward where Max said the tents were, his
light out in front of them**Max nods and follows by Carlos*
*Carlos can soon see the shapes of the tents* Here we go.
Which one’s yours? *he drops his voice so it’s a whisper*The one on the far end. *he points down to the farthest area* we usually get to pick our tents at the begining of the summer and I’ve always stayed in that one.
Ah. Any particular reason? *starts to walk through toward
it**max shrugs* I never really wanted to be here my first summer, I chose the farthest tent because it sort of made me farther from the main camp area, I guess.
And you just became attached? Or maybe it’s habit?
