Night Vale? I think I’ve heard of that place… But I know nothing about it…

Well, it’s one of the most scientifically interesting places I’ve ever been. I’ve been there for a few years now.

Really? What goes on there?

Similar things to here – odd, seemingly random occurrences. But on a larger scale, I feel like. I have a theory that Elder Ones actually live in the little desert town actually.

Its possible that the town could be on a much larger Ley Line. Those tend to attract Gods (like me)

Oh yeah. There’s at least two known alternate universes due to the strange occurences there.

You mean normal mortals can access other dimensions there!? That Ley Line must be huge! What other odd stuff goes on there? *seems super eager*

Yeah. I actually lived in a Desert Otherworld for a while. And there was this one time that one of the Librarians got out… I wasn’t there, but I heard it was pretty terrifying.

Librarians? Like… Book Keepers?

Yeah. Horrifying things, apparently. Like I said, I didn’t see it.

“Carlos I refuse to stay here all summer.” Maria huffed arms crossed over her chest, stomping her foot. The 10 year old was not pleased at all by this. (Camp Camp AU~)

“Well, you have to stay because I’m staying here,” Carlos said, rolling his eyes. “C’mon, it’ll be fun – there’s loads of activities here – I’m sure you’ll find something to like!”

“Gwen!” David greeted happily. “This is Carlos and this is Maria.”

“Please tell me you are at least sane.” Maria towards the woman pleadingly. “He’s too happy to be real.”

“Why thank you! Now, why don’t I tell you both all about Camp Campbell! I even have this song…” David said, starting to pull a guitar from no where seemingly.

“No songs,” Gwen interrupted him, completely unapologetically. “I just helped Dolph clean up some of the paint that Nurf made him eat so I’m not in the mood.”

Carlos was staring at the neck of the guitar sprouting from somewhere behind David’s legs. How on Earth…?

“Oh dear…” David trailed off before shaking his head and beaming at Maria. In a rapid motion he produced a button and stuck it her shirt. “Well, that aside, let’s get these two orientated!”

First Day of Camp! Cute. Maria sighed loudly. “Okay, let’s get this over with.”

“I’ll get the laserdisk,” Gwen said with a sigh and went off to the supply closet.

Carlos tried to shake off his confusion about the guitar and just looked at David. “Uh, is… there already a problem with bullying here?” he asked. “Gwen mentioned that Nurf kid…”

*he glanced around the room before sighing and nodding, hugging himself again* o-okay..

Okay. *Carlos picked up the call button and pressed it.*

*the nurse came in, did a couple tests and asked a couple questions before giving Carlos some pain meds, explaining that Max should take them every other day, and sending them on their way. Max was quiet through the whole ordeal, even as he was being wheeled out of the hospital and to Carlos’ car*

*Carlos helped get Max in the car and buckled him in. He got in the driver’s seat and they started on their way away from the hospital.*

*he looked out the window, glad he was out of the hospital finally* … can we stop for ice cream..?

*glances at Max through the rear-view mirror* Yeah, sure buddy. You sure your stomach can handle it?

*he nods slightly, glancing up at Carlos* y-yeah, i’m sure..
