((here’s some drawings of Carlos and Angela in the Camp Camp AU.
There’s also a sketch of a scene from a thread I did with @sungpraise, where baby!Carlos (a senior in high school) is talking with (closeted) baby!David (who I think is a junior). I should have uploaded this one earlier… like, a LOT earlier…
Yeah, high school Carlos still has a mustache and goatee.
Drawn by me.
which house hold chemiculs are the most deadly?
All of them? None of them? Whichever answer will make you not touch the household chemicals!
What are you doing, Max…?
losing what control i had in shyt-hole i call a life-
Max, is this about you being grounded?
no.. kinda,… i dunno!
Max… I’m sorry about this. I hate grounding you. But I wanted to keep you safe, Max, and teach you to be more responsible for your actions.
*he looks at the ground, mumbling* i know but it still fucking sucks..
I know Max… I’m really sorry. But I’m not letting you touch any household chemicals, especially not over this.
but i’m so borrred, i need something to do!
Then read a book. Or write something. Or, I dunno… I can do science experiment with you, perhaps?
Jon won’t let me near books anymore and i don’t know what to write about, but science stuff sounds fun
Why won’t Jon let you have books? *he’s very confused*
those are three long storys.. two of which you probably wouldn’t even believe if i told you
Boy, I’m from Night Vale. I might believe them. *he smiles a little*
*he chuckles slightly* they’re still pretty long..
Maybe tell me one while we do science. *smiles* Hey, do you want Angie to do science with us? She loves science experiments.
*he nods and bsmiles sloightly* alright i guess i could… wait, who’s Angie?
*Blinks* My daughter. You met her… no, wait… you were just a baby then, weren’t you?
*more confused* you have a daughter? i.. guess i was pretty young then..
It wasn’t very long ago, actually. Like, maybe a couple weeks ago. You… I guess you were under a grey-face curse.
i guess so.. well, i’d love to remeet her then *he chuckles*
Sure! I think you’ll like her. C’mon – lets look around the camp and find her!
*he smiles and nods* alright, do you know where she likes to hang out?
Mm… probably at the science table. Let’s see if she’s there.
okay *he starts walking* if she’s not there, where else could we check?
I… don’t know. Maybe the space table? What other tables do you have?
*he shrugs, glancing at him* i don’t really pay attenion to that stuff..
Oh… well, I guess we’ll just… *he stops when he notices the science table, and he sees Angela there* Oh! She’s right there! Angela! Over here! *he waves at her*
*Angela looks at them and she smiles widely.* Papa! *She runs up to him and hugs him around his legs*
*he chuckles slightly, putting his hands in his pockets* hey.. Angie
*Angela looks at him and smiles.* Oh hey! I know you! I saw you when you were this big! *she holds her hands apart about a foot and a half* You’re a cute baby! *she giggles.*
Will it? Oh, that’s good to hear!
*he whines, tightly hugging the toy with tears in his eyes*
A: Papa, he won’t let go.
C: Oh – Angela, don’t take it from him. Hang on… *he reaches and tears off the tag and gives it to the cashier to scan*
*Max curiously watches as the cashier scans the items*
*Carlos moved to the pin machine and paid for the items. He then started loading up the cart with the bags* Alright, kids, let’s get going! Thank you! *he says to the cashier*
*he grabs into Carlos’ hand any chance he got, yawning again as the cart was filled*
*They leave the store and make it back to the car. Carlos opens the side door and reaches to pull Max out of the cart*
C: Angie, can you get me one of those diapers from the package please? And the wipes?
A: Okay, Papa! *she gets the things out and has them ready for him.*
*he tiredly hugs the other, almost dropping his stuffed animal* paps…
C: Shh… it’s okay, Max. You’re sleepy, aren’t you? Let’s get you changed and then we can wrap you up in your brand new blanket. *lays him down in the seat and grabs his toy, setting it right next to his head. He takes off the make-shift diaper he made and Angela hands him the wipes and new diaper*
Will it? Oh, that’s good to hear!
*he whines, tightly hugging the toy with tears in his eyes*
A: Papa, he won’t let go.

*he
tries to chew on a few but is usually stopped, he likes few of the toys
brought to him, but clings to one of the stuffed animals Angie brought
over*A: Papa, he likes this one!
C: Ooh, that’s great! I’ll get that for him then. Find a teething ring too, will you honey? I think I’m almost done here.
A: Okay! *she finds a little soft plastic ring with liquid and glitter inside and puts it in the cart*
*he yawns, tiredly looking at the rest toys and watching as Angie put the teething ring in the cart*
*Angie walks to the front of the cart and peers at Max* Hey, Maxy. You getting sleepy?
*grumpy lil tired baby noises*
C: I think he’s about done here. So am I – let’s go get these things paid for and get him into a real diaper. *he moves to start pushing the cart to the register*
*he reachs up for Carlos again, cooing softly*
*Carlos smiles and offers him his hand to hold* We’re almost out of here, buddy – I promise. Angie – put things up on the counter for me honey?
A: Okay, Papa!
*tinyest hands holds his hand, Max makes random noises*
C: Hey, buddy. Gimme a second, I need to get my wallet out, okay? *he pulls his hand away and gets out his wallet.*
*Angie reaches for Max’ toy to put it on the belt*
Will it? Oh, that’s good to hear!
