my brain got ‘papi’ and ‘poppy’ mixed up, then this happened…

Where is that flower’s goggles? Their rubber gloves? Poor lab attire – 5/10.

poppys don’t have eyes or hands, where am i suppost to put those things?

That is no excuse for improper lab safety, Max. Cut a finger off a glove and put it over that closed bud there. Then the whole flower can sit behind a pair of goggles. See? Safety!

oh.. well i guess i did all this for nothing

also the closed bud is another head, not a hand Carlos

Oh…! Max, this is great! It’s even better than what I suggested! *he hugs the boy*

Carlos looked to her, a little big concerned. “Uh… do you need to?” he asked her. “Are you okay?”

“Two balls for entirely different occasions, four different peace treaty negotiations that can’t be put off, and the werewolves are on the verge of an international catastrophe thanks to some idiot with a….bright phone?…and some poor pup in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

She shook her head again before running a hand through her hair and looking at her friend. “Don’t suppose you could be put upon to sit the children again?“

“I absolutely can,” Carlos said. “I was able to come up with activities the last time they were around, so I know what to do now.” He smiled at her. “They’ll be in good hands with me.”

“Oh, fantastic!” Mia visibly perked up at the agreement. “I can bring them over as soon as they wake up. …Would you be against one additional charge for your sitting? I think perhaps it would be best for the young princess to not be present around some of the guests I have to be hosting.”

Carlos blinked at her. “Uh, the ‘princess’?” he asked. “How old are we talking? And… am I allowed to babysit her?”

“I am her….throne sitter? And grandmother. I say you are allowed, you are allowed. And she is five Alshondi. ….Eleven Terrandi? Still a small child.” She’d forgotten the word for reagent, apparently.

“Ah,” Carlos said. “So, she’s like your ward? What does she like doing by the way? Is she okay with younger kids?”

“God, I wish I could just pass out right about now.” ((Lets play the “Can Mia actually play out an actual gods damned thread?” game! xD

Carlos looked to her, a little big concerned. “Uh… do you need to?” he asked her. “Are you okay?”

“Drake’s taking a nap for me right now, but it’s not the same as actually sleeping yourself, you know?” Mia sighed, accompanying the sound with a shake of her head. “Got too much to do, and not enough hours in even the Alshondi day to do it.”

“What’s going on?” Carlos asked her. “Is… is there anything I can do to help?” He had no idea what sort of things someone like Mia had to do – obviously important queen/mom/space stuff – but if he could help in any way he could…

Carlos glanced at Hancock. Was the flirting serious? Well, Carlos wasn’t exactly discouraging him with the ‘ring’ joke (alluding to a proposition of marriage – he was being completely silly regarding that).

“You should see my dad – he’s the real cute one of the family,” Carlos told him with a grin.

It was mostly serious, Hancock was one to speak his mind when it came to how attractive he found his friends, but the redhead hardly expected anything to come of it.

“He a real silver fox then? And ya said he could cook, right? I s’pose that makes him the whole package, huh?”

Carlos nodded to Hancock, smiling. “Oh yeah – he’s absolutely great at cooking,” he told Hancock. “He worked as a chef in his day. But he’s also a dad, so beware of Dad Jokes. Heheh!”
