Peter
looks at Kraglin then between Carlos and Mikey then Yondu. “……….
sorry…….” pulls back visibly wilting a bit not wanting to be the source
of everyone’s anger.

Kraglin narrowed his eyes slightly, but sighed and dropped his arms finally. “Thanks, Pete. C’mon then… you said something about breakfast?”

Carlos smiled. “Dad’s making some. Follow me, boys – and be nice, okay?”

Mikey wheeled ahead of him back into the dining room, and Carlos led the way.

Peter looks up and let’s everyone go infront of him before following. He also took a moment to look around the house. It had been y are since he’d seen a actual home. Not all overly advanced like in space.

Mr Ramon wasn’t at the table anymore – his plate was left half-eaten. Instead he was back at the stove, cooking up some more food for the two new guests. “Hello! You boys come in!” Mr Ramon covered up the sausages he was cooking and flipped over a pancake before wiping his hands off on a dishcloth and turning around to smile at the guests. “Hello!” he said again. “I’m Edwardo – I’m Carlos’ father.” He offered his hand to Kraglin first.

Kraglin scrutinized the hand for a moment, but then gingerly took it in his own. “Hi. Kraglin Obfonteri – First Mate on the Eclector.”

“Uhhhhh….. no they don’t and…… Kraglin knows how to strip one for parts…. as for how to operate it….I don’t think so….”

Carlos frowned. “Maybe we oughtta pick them up rather than just wait for them to come to the house,” he suggested. “Dad has a car we can drive. My Driver’s license shouldn’t be expired. I think.”

Looks at him. “And… how am I supposed to hide? You want me to come out in daylight?” Looks at him nerviously.

“Uh– oh…” Carlos said softly. “I’m sorry, I forgot about that. Um… maybe Mikey and I can go. And you can stay here with Dad?”

“Yeah…. they should be next to my ship….and I’ll hang out with your old man. Who knows I might be able to help him out around here or something.”

Carlos smiled at him. “Like planning for lunch or dinner – you know better about what the boys can eat so it’d be a great help. Speaking of which… should we go get some breakfast?”

Yondu nods and looks at him with a sigh before tugging him into a light kiss before pulling back and heads down stairs to the dinning table. “Something smells delicious in here. Morning wheels. How are you?”

Mikey looked up from his plate, blinking a little sleepily. But he grinned and waved. “Hey, Eiffel 65! I’m not too bad!”

“Mikey, don’t make references Mr Yondu can’t understand,” Mr Ramon chided gently with a smile.

“He’ll understand them soon, I promise!” Mikey said with a grin. “Hey – sit down, you guys. Dad went all out this morning.”

“Of course I did! I’ve got four grown men to feed!” Mr Ramon laughed. “And a homecoming to celebrate as well! This’ll be the first breakfast since last Easter that we’ve all had with Carlos.”

Yondu smiles a bit about to sit then blinks at the door as someone knocks on it. His com beeps a few times and he answers. “Peter?”

“Heya! Hope we’re at the right house. I’m tired! Krags dragged me out of bed! And the hike… seriously!”

“Carlos was going to come pick you both up. You were supposed to call me before you got here.” Smirks at the silence then the loud whine of exhasperstion.

Mikey sighed and backed away from the table. “I’ll get the door… you guys hide in case it’s one of our neighbors.”

Carlos took Yondu’s arm and pulled him so that they weren’t in view of the front door. “Is Kraglin with you, Pete?” he asked through the comm.

“I ain’t lettin’ his ass outta sight on a planet like this,” Kraglin responded. “He still probably has a wanted status here…”

Mr Ramon frowned at that, but didn’t say anything.

Mr Ramon smiled at Yondu. “Thank you, Yondu,” he said. “Go on – head to bed. You too, Carlos.”

“Okay, Dad,” Carlos said with a smile. He went over to take Yondu’s arm. “C’mon – you can borrow some of my clothes,” he said and led the other back to his room.

Yondu
blinks help with dishes. That’s always the cooks job. “Hmmmm…” starts
collecting the plates from the table intent to help as well.

Carlos grinned. Before his Dad could protest, Carlos started to gather up the dishes with food still inside of them and went looking for the cellophane to cover them. Mr Ramon watched them with mock offense on his face, and Mikey just laughed before rolling away to the sink.

“Hey – Blue Man Solo Group! Lemme show you how to use a primitive sink!” Mikey called to Yondu, waving him over.

Yondu blinks and rolls his eyes grinning. “Ohhh a sink…. amazing Ohh you have the snake attachment?” Grabs the spray nozzle and squirts it at him with a chuckle. “Kiddo. I know about sinks hehe. We still have similar in space. “Squats st him then Carlos.

Mikey yelped and tried to cover his face. “Oh! Boo! No fair! I would’ve gotten ya first if I’d known you were going to do that!” He laughed.

“Ack! Yondu, not on the food!” Carlos cried, trying to shield the tortillas from the water.

Yondu grins going back to spraying Mikey for fun then turns around once carlos had gotten rid of the food in the frig and turns it to cold and sprays him again right down his neck.

Carlos shireked. “Cold!” he exclaimed and he flailed his arms, trying to get Yondu away from him.

Mikey just laughed and grabbed a towel from a drawer.

“Don’t leave water on the floor,” Mr Ramon called to the group, but he was smiling as he sat and watched them.

Yondu grins as he squirts making Carlos dance and grins happily before pulling him into a hug and nuzzles the side of his head against Carlos’s purring lightly.

Carlos huffed at Yondu, but then grinned and hugged him back. “You freakin’ nut,” he murmured, rubbing his shoulders affectionately. “You’re lucky Dad has a dryer.”

“Actually,” Mr Ramon piped up, at the same time Mikey said “Um, well…” They both paused and looked at each other, but Mr Ramon just smiled and motioned for Mikey to continue.

“The dryer’s on the fritz,” Mikey said. “Neither Dad or I are able to fix it, but we were going to call Ralphie or somebody to come over.”

“You mean you wouldn’t let me fix it,” Mr Ramon said with a slight grin.

Yondu chuckles at the family before finishing the dishes and sets them in the drying rack. “Dryer does you no good anyway. Your hair is always a mess.”

“Oh, they’re talking about a clothing dryer, Yondu,” Carlos explained.

“If it were something small like a hair dryer I would have been able to fix it easy!” Mikey said.

“So fixing and mechanics is a family trait. Interesting. I’d love al of you on my crew….”

Mr Ramon chuckled. “I can do handy work – I’m not really a mechanic though,” he said. “I’m a chef.”

Mikey laughed. “Do they have video games in space?”

“They do, actually,” Carlos said with a grin.

Mikey looked surprised, but after thinking about it he shrugged and nodded, apparently figuring that of course they would.

“I can look at the dryer later after the dishes are done,” Carlos told his dad.

“No, no, you need to rest. You boys can hang your clothes in the bathroom for now so they can try to drip-dry. Make sure to turn the fan on so mold doesn’t start to grow.”

“Ohhh What yer daddy don’t know carlos…. I’m a ravager…. we’re like….. ahhhh space pirates as petey calls us..”

Mr Ramon frowned slightly. “Space pirates,” he repeated.

Carlos folded his arms. He looked at the tabletop and nodded. “Yeah…”

“As in… stealing stuff and plundering pirates?” Mikey asked.

Yondu nods. “That would be accurate. We steal… take jobs for clients hunting for rare objects… tomb robbers… hunters… treasure hunters… that’s us…”

“And how did you end up with them, Carlos?” Mr Ramon asked seriously.

Carlos sighed. “I was, uh… abducted. Again. But they don’t make a habit of doing that sort of thing – it’s against their code to kidnap sentients against their will, unless it’s for a bounty-hunting job.”

“Then what was this case? Did you get in trouble with someone?” Mr Ramon asked.

Carlos swallowed slightly. “No… they needed someone to work on their engines. And… I happened to have the skills needed.”

Yondu nods. “See my boys went to the station yet boy was. They were tasked with hiring a mechanic… my terran boy saw this guy and well… got interested… Well the nova Corp… uhhh kinda like galactic police don’t like us much. My boys nabbed you boy as a last dich resort and well….. was a good one. He was more then we’d ever thought. Because something special to the crew…. my boys… and… to me…”

“I chose to stay with them,” Carlos said. “Not only was Yondu willing to give me passage home, but… I learned to appreciate them for who they are. And the ship has gone through a massive overhaul in the crew and we’ve made the ship a better place to be on.”

Yondu looks to carlos and smiles nodding in agreement. At that moment his com started beeping and he nods to them before getting up and taking the call a little bit away. “Yes Kraglin. Petey. What is it?” Blinks as peter pushes Kraglins head away from the screen. “Hey when do you want us to head down?”

Kraglin growled on the communicator. “Peter, I swear to the Watchers I’m gonna gut ya if ya don’t sit still!” Peter was shoved away and Kraglin reappeared. “Cap’n… what’s the situation – did you find Ramon’s family?”

“It’s Kraglin and Peter,” Carlos explained to his family in a hushed tone.

“What are Watchers?” Mikey asked, to which Carlos just shrugged.

Yondu rolls his eyes. “Kraglin be nice to peter. Peter stop annoying Kraglin. For Anthos sake…yes we found his family. Just had a home cooked meal you both missed. Peter you can thank Kraglin for missing it as he was being a grump and didn’t want to come with.” Smirks as peter groans and starts crawling on Kraglin. “Boys boys! Peter stop pulling on your brother before he bites you. Now you both have a chance tomorrow morning to hop on a mship and come here for food and shopping. Kraglin you are to be on your best behavior… that’s a order.”

“Aye, Cap’n,” Kraglin murmured. “But all due respectin’, you told me to stay an’ watch the ship. It ain’t my fault Pete didn’t go with you.”

“Did I? Huh. Guess I wasn’t thinking…. anyway. Bright eyes and bushy tailed. Petey…. you can sleep in Kraglins bed tonight right?”

Peter nods and hugs kraglin around the neck.

“Just don’t wet the bed.”

“Oh my god!!! That was years ago!!!! You gonna ever stop bringing that up!! Yeeesh!!”

Yondu smirks. “And when you boys head down stay in invisible mode. Don’t need to attract and try dressing…uhhh terran..”

Carlos looked up from where he was sitting. “Peter’s fine – Kraglin should wear some pants though.”

Kraglin seemed to cringe a bit, hearing Carlos’ words. “… Fine,” he murmured, though Carlos would have been unable to hear him.

“Borrow some of Pete’s clothing if you need to. And boys.. uhhh…. good night and sleep well. See you tomorrow.”

Clicks off and returns to the table with a yawn. “Just my boys checking in. Both are worry warts.”

Mr Ramon smiled at him. “They sound like charming young men,” he said.

Carlos laughed. “No, not really. They’re boys… but they care a lot about Yondu. They’re his family.”

Yondu chuckles. “You and kraglin still But heads but he respects ya. Peter eats from yer hand. Krags just don’t know how to trust. He’s my special boy.” Yawns. “Anyways I’m ready to hit the nest….thank you for the meal mr. Ramon. You say it’s simple but for simple it was the best I’ve ever had.”

Mr Ramon nodded. “Thank you, Yondu,” he said. “And I’m sorry that I hadn’t mentioned this before – call me Edwardo. I’m honestly not so sure about the whole ‘space pirate’ thing… but I’m glad that you were the one to bring Carlos home. And now I have an opportunity to actually plan for tomorrow’s meals. When your boys get here, I’d like to know what sort of things they can and can’t eat.”

“For them pretty much anything. For kraggles though… mostly meat and fruit or soup. He loves soup… sings about it. Quickest way to that boy’s heart is meat soup. Just for safety stay away from citrus. Peter’s a terran so…. he’s pretty open to anything I’m sure. And.. umm thanks Edwardo…..” Stands and starts up the stairs with a yawn looking back at Carlos and waiting for him.
