Carlos went out into the storm with his equipment, since the weather was really interesting around Sleepy Peak Peak (what, with Spooky island and that one side of the lake always being covered in dark, foreboding clouds).
As he approached one of the locations of a lightning strike however he paused, seeing a person on the ground. Oh no – did it strike someone?
Carlos hurried over and dropped his equipment to the side to start inspecting the body for life.
“He-hello? Hello, can you hear me? Sir?”
J: he was looking out the window, glancing at the door as he heard the other knock “Oh uh.. Hey..”
Carlos smiled at him. “Hey,” he said, stepping inside. “Um, you remember me right?”
J: “You’re the one that found Me right..?” he sat up, wincing slightly “My memory’s still abit fuzzy..”
“yeah, that’s me,” Carlos said. “And that’s alright. You… they told me you lost a lot of blood. SO no wonder you were out of it.”
J: he chuckled “Yeah, I can’t even remember if I said anything or not.. Did I..?”
“Well, yeah,” Carlos said. Maybe it’d help give him clues on what happened to the other man if he mentioned it. “You said something about the ‘brightness’ or… Gosh, now I can’t remember. But you said something was bright or something? You said you needed to hide from it?”
J: “Brightness..?” he mumbled as he thought, looking abit concerned “Where did You kind Me again?
“In the forest,” Carlos said. “There was a lightning storm and I was out getting readings when I found you.”
J: he curled his tail around himself “How long did the lightening storm last?”
“Not very long,” Carlos admitted. “I barely had my equipment together to start taking readings before it began to clear up. I found you only a few minutes after setting out.”
