Carlos just shrugged. “It’s just the nature of
science – It’s rather egotistical of humans to believe that they know
everything, I think.”

“Egotistical maybe, but…sometimes hard to avoid thinking when we have so much knowledge at our fingertips. Luckily most understand we don’t know everything and that’s what drives us to learn more.”

Carlos nodded. “Exactly,” he said. And he grinned. “We
should do this again. Lunch, I mean. That is, if you’re okay with that.”

“Yup,” Carlos chirped. “Isn’t science great?
It’s always changing and we’re always learning new things.”

“Great, but also mildly annoying when halfway through the semester, the professor tells you some new idea was discovered so everything we learned previously is irrelevant.”

Carlos just shrugged. “It’s just the nature of
science – It’s rather egotistical of humans to believe that they know
everything, I think.”

“That’s so interesting, and amazing,” Carlos said with a
smile. “I think I understand it, sort of. Though I can’t say I do completely –
I’m not a biology major of course. But it’s great that we can do that now.”

Alex nods. “Yeah, just ten years ago, or even five, this kind of technology wasn’t even a thought and now it’s being taught to college students. It is pretty amazing.”

“Yup,” Carlos chirped. “Isn’t science great?
It’s always changing and we’re always learning new things.”
