Its even worse than that. I’m living through it. Not only are schools closing, hospitals are collapsing. Only around 9% of the island has electricity and it comes and goes at times.
People are dying in hospitals because of lack of diesel for the generators, a lot of the water is now infected, there are disease outbreaks and scareceness of food. I am safe, but many are not.
Some have water, others don’t. We need help. Sending money would be helpful but what would help even more would be sending water filters, filtering water bottles, food, medicine, if somehow possible diesel.
All of you reblogging this news helps, but what we need is physical help. If you can’t, then spread the word, but God if you can send supplies… Please… PLEASE do. We are dying. Help us, help us save ourselves. Help us save our people. Help us save out ISLAND.
If you’re not in a position to ship or transport useful items to the island (which is sure as heck the case for me in New Zealand) then the best thing you can do is give money to a reputable relief organisation operating in the area.
You know, every time Puerto Rico comes up I’m reminded of a comment my dad made in a discussion about it, in response to someone claiming that the PR situation is terrible but oh well, what can we do? They’re SO far away after all and the logistic problems are SO hard.

I think we’d all really appreciate if you signal boost content that explains all of this. We need help! There are more people in California than in all of Canada, but we still need to fight off big corporations like Bell, Shaw, Rogers, Telus and Cineplex, who are trying to steal our net neutrality. The likelihood that this goes through has nothing to do with it, we need to show our government that THIS ISN’T OKAY. THAT WE CARE ABOUT OUR NET NEUTRALITY! C’MON!
Not one single person has supplied a viable source for any of this information,,, and there is no actual evidence what so ever that this is happening? Also there are LAWS in canada that prevent anything like this from happening! If these providers wanted to do this they would have to go through the CRTC and they would have to bring it to court and it wouldn’t be passed because the way things work in canada are,,, shocker,,, different lmao

This post is going to rushed but I’m still shaking and it’s hard to type but I NEED people to know this
My mom just took my dog to the vet
She(my dog) was(still is?) having a seizure
Last month we took my dog to the vet and they told us she had developed diabetes, they told us it was caused by the food she was eating, purina beneful.
They told us that there have been many many many reports of Beneful has been causing diabetes, seizures, and even death in dogs.
We had no idea
We immediately switched her food and put her on a special diet plan for her diabetes, unfortunately the effects were already permeate.
Today at 11:20 my mom woke me up crying, I helped her carry my dog to the car (while she was still having a seizure) and watched her drive away red faced and still crying.
Please please PLEASE if you are feeding your pets Purina beneful PLEASE switch their food ASAP
Beneful is poising dogs and I don’t want anyone else to experience what I just did

Snopes.com unfortunately says that these allegations are unproven, but it points out that there were other incidents with Beneful kibble and provides statements from Nestle Purina that makes it seem like the company was unwilling to consider they had a defective product.
Personally, I wouldn’t trust Nestle as far as I can throw them. I don’t buy Purina for my dog, and I never would. I’d be very wary if someone gave me a bag of it that they didn’t need anymore.
