Motions
to a bike like thing. Was that a old motor cycle. It seemed Yondu was a
collector of terran things too. “Been a long time since I rode It but
yeah. And don’t call him….. I don’t want police around.”

Carlos looked at the motorcycle, surprised. “I had no idea
you had this,” he told Yondu. It looked to be in good contition. He knocked on
the fuel tank and it sounded like it had stuff in it. “You’ve driven it before?”

“Yeah… few times on some random planets. Saw it liked it… took it….” rolls it down the ramp and once Carlos was out shut the ship up tight making it look like it wasn’t even there. He hopped on the motorcycle and starts it up looking to carlos.

Carlos frowned. “You took it?” he asked. “As in, it might be
registered as a stolen vehicle?” That would be problematic of the police found
them with it… among other things.

He
sighs as he lands. “Well…. you’ll go home… see your parents……. and…….
enjoy life I guess…… I did my part of the promise…. your home…”

Carlos blinked at him. “That’s… that’s it?” he asked. “But…
I told you I wanted you to meet my family. We were gonna shop for treats for
the crew. And I even invited you to dinner.”

Sighs. “Carlos…. I’m a blue alien on non space faring planet. ….. I…….. I prolonged bringing you back…. I’d selfishly hoped you’d say fuck all to terra and… stay…….but…. to keep you from your family… is not right….. I… Terra’s to fat off any navigation I go by…. you’ll hardly ever see me…..”

Carlos frowned. “But… my Dad would want to meet the guy who
brought me back. Are you just going to try to forget about me, Yondu?” That
wasn’t what he wanted. Not what he wanted at all. He’d been trying to think of
ways to get Yondu through the neighborhood to go to his house.

“Doubt I could forget you even if I had my memory erased…… it’s dark out…… so long as I get into hiding when the sun comes up… I’ll be fine….. I can’t be seen…. or…… I’m gonna get dissected on some lab table….”

“It’s cold enough, you can wear freakin’ ski goggles for all
I care.” But Carlos sighed, understanding. “Look, just… how long can you guys
stick around up in orbit?”

Carlos thought that maybe there would be a lot of ‘settling’
for him to do anyway. A lot of excuses to make. He sighed. He had no idea what
he was going to say still.

Shrugs. “Until I say we go. We can always send peter and the Terran looking crew down for supplies…….. I’m sorry. Your right. We made a plan and I’d be a dick to ruin it. And while it’s a nice dick it’s not time for it to come out and make its self known. You got a extra hoodie?”

Carlos nodded and got up to go to his luggage. He opened it
up and started to look through until finding a navy blue hooded jacket. He
pulled it out and offered it to Yondu.

“Will it fit?” he asked.

Pulls his coat off then slips the hoodie on. It was slightly snug but it fit. He pulled the hood over his head and looks at him motioning for the hatch but grabs him back quickly and kisses him and pulls out the photo book. “Don’t forget this….”

Carlos smiled slightly and took it. “Thanks, Yondu,” he
said. “My dad’s house is probably a half hour walk away.” He sighed, wishing he
had his car. “I dunno… should I give my dad a call first? Before going to the
door? I don’t want him calling the police before we can get there.”

Half laughs a bit. “I.. lo.. lo look forward ta it.”

Yondu ingnores them checking his console. He had to admit those
springs were a great place. He felt like a billion credits. Defiantly
due a repeat. “Hey Carlos. We got 2 jumps then we’ll be on terra. Lookit
the map and see if ya can pinpoint yer folks place.”

Carlos looked at Yondu from his seat. “Oh, sure,” he said
and headed for Navigation. Kraglin pulled up scans of Earth for Carlos and
stepped aside for him to zoom into the location.

“There’s a forest close by my dad’s house,” Carlos told
Yondu. “I don’t know if you have an M-ship capable of cloaking, but I think
that’s the best place for an LZ.” He tried to keep his voice even, trying to
contain the butterflies of excitement that were currently making him feel a
little sick.

“Yeah. We can take my warbird…. used that when I picked up petey. Krags. When I’m down there your in charge. Tullk back him up…. everyone strap in. About to do the jumps.”

Carlos looked back toward his chair, but Kraglin grabbed his
shoulders and forced him down to sit into the Navigation chair. The First-Mate then
went to sit in Carlos’ chair – just until the jumps were over. Kraglin looked
to Yondu and nodded.

Yondu smiles nodding flashing The whole ships alarms for a jump and they all feel the lurch and pull as they shoot off half doing his trade mark wheeeee as they shoot off.

Shortly they appeared in the sol galaxy space the ship was in cloak mode as it made its decent closer to terra. “There ya are carlos. Yer home. Halfnut lock in on the location and bring us close. We’re taking the warbird. Carlos. Common.”

Carlos looked at Yondu. “Hold on, just a sec,” he said as he
finished locating the forest near his Dad’s house. He selected it for Half-nut
before getting up to go follow Yondu.

“Remember, this is an under-developed planet,” Kraglin
announced to the bridge. “Keep us out of sight of their satellites.”

Half waves. “W..we. Done it before. No..no..nothing new ya us.”

Yondu waits for him before walking with him to the hangar and into his ship strangely silent the whole time even as they flew and landed in the forest clearing still in stealth mode making the ship appear invisible.

Carlos sat in the seat next to Yondu. He was nervous. Would
there be police who would want to talk to him? Would his Dad still be at his
house?

“How… how do you wanna do this?” Carlos asked Yondu
carefully.
