“This wayyy.” He said moving into the kitchen. He waved his hand, but when the door to the cupboard did not swing open, he went the old fashioned way, grabbing two large glasses and filling them with water from the sink.

“here..” He said holding it out to him.

Carlos grinned at him, taking the glass. “Thanks,” he said softly and he quickly downed the water. The taste of nothing caught Carlos a little off-guard, but it was cold which was nice. He let out a sigh, holding the empty glass. “I said ‘welcome’, by the way,” he said suddenly. “Earlier… ‘Welcome to Graves’ house’. Or, ‘Welcome to the Graves House’. Whichever you think sounds better…”

Carlos then looked at him curiously. “Two rooms?” he asked. “Why not just one with two beds?” Granted, the room he had was one bed… but that’s all he needed. “Oh, should we think about what to eat too? Clearly I can’t find a good restaurant for the life of me, if you remember that whole ‘sandwich’ thing.” He smiled at Hancock.

“Uh…. well, I wasn’t sure you’d wanna share a room with a guy ya just met. I personally don’t mind either way, just figured ya might prefer your privacy.” He admitted softly with a little smile. One room would make the most sense, but Hancock wasn’t about to push boundaries if Carlos didn’t seem comfortable with it. “I can find us a good place, dunno what’s most popular around these parts, but it’s all pretty much the same, heh. Worst case, pub food’s always good, as long as ya like burgers, that is.”

Carlos’ smile dropped. “You warning me because you’re planning on stealing my passport and my kidney?” he asked, scarily deadpan.

First three in my inbox get kisses 1/3

Carlos didn’t usually just go around kissing folks. But he was at least safe in the knowledge that Percival wouldn’t just punch him outright. Maybe.

Carlos gently touched the man’s arm to get his attention, and while Percival was turned toward him Carlos got up on his toes a bit and pressed a gentle – just a touch of the lips – kiss to the Director’s mouth.

“I meant in this moment.” He said with a soft laugh when the other said courting.

“Perhaps you may like to join me for dinner tomorrow in that case? A small place just down the street.”

“Oh,” Carlos said, flushing a bit. “Um – Um, yeah – Dinner sounds great. That’d be… that’d be great…” He smiled slightly. “I… I don’t know what to do in the meantime.. sorry. I haven’t done this in a while. Damn… I already said that, didn’t I? Sorry – lemme stop talking for a second.”

“I
don’t speak spanish.” Graves said as the other kicked his shoes
off. “something about house of Graves? I dunno. I speak Irish.” The
director says.

He tossed his coat onto the rack. “Do you want anything? like a g….glass of water?”

Carlos hummed, pulling off his own white cloak – shit, he forgot to transfigure it into a coat while out on the street, didn’t he? Damn – hopefully they didn’t stick out too much because of that. Though with Graves stumbling, they probably already did.

“Water would be great,” he said to Mr Graves. “Cold water. It’ll help me keep awake for a little bit longer… and would probably help our heads feel better later.” Maybe some salty food too – was that supposed to help? He couldn’t remember…

Percival laughed. “Wonderful Was worried i had lost my touch…” he said offering a small smile.

After a moment he let go of the other, taking a small step back to give him space, smoothing out his suit.

“… I’m afraid I don’t…really know what to do after that. I didn’t exactly plan this.”

Carlos smiled back. He clasped his hands together in front of himself, wringing them a bit. “I’m not sure either,” he admitted. “I… haven’t done this sort of thing in a while. I think I’ve said before. I guess… I dunno, maybe… courting would be next?”

“Bullshit.” Percival said, trying to stay quiet.

He pulled the other along.

It took a while, stumbling through the street before the Director pulled the other up the steps of the the appartment building he lived in. A wave of his hand unlocked the wards and tugged the other inside.

“here we are!”

“We made it!” Carlos exclaimed. “Yay!” He then giggled and started trying to kick his shoes off, not wanting to track the outside into the home. “Bienvenidos a la Casa de Graves.”

“…Well?” he repeated with a blink. “Well what? Are you expecting a grade?” Percival broke into a playful smile.

“Its a kiss Carlos, not a performance.”

Carlos suddenly laughed – still mostly due to his nerves. “I
– I dunno… I guess I expected that sort of thing from you… but hey, I’ve been
wrong before. Just today, in fact.” He flexed his hands, which had somehow come up and closed into Percival’s cloak at his hips. He decided to keep them there for now.

Percival blinked at the sudden laugh, but allowed himself to smile.

“I generally don’t rate kisses or anything else.” He teased with a grin. Percival’s hands gently straightened out Carlos’ shirt.

“But I’ll play. How was that? I hope I haven’t disappointed you.”

“What? Oh – Oh, absolutely not! You, you haven’t at- at all!” Carlos said suddenly. “You did great! You have no worry –  I mean nothing to worry about at all!”

“Would you be able to focus enough to apparate without forgetting a limb?” he asked as the other giggled.

Percival slung an arm around Carlos’ shoulders, something no one ever saw of the director unless he was strictly off hours. Leading the other down the road. “We nee to act… as sober as possible, to prevent… being arrested.” He said in a loud whisper, as though the other wouldn’t know about the alcohol ban.

“I’m sober – dunno about you,” Carlos giggled. Then a
random-ass thought came to him that he thought he’d share: “I could jinx your
face and make it all swollen
… pretend we got in a fight an’ – an’ that’s why
you’re all woozy.”

Carlos wrapped an arm around Percival’s back and supported
him against his own body – Carlos was maybe a little tipsy, but he wasn’t going
to let Percival fall flat on his face and cause the swelling he mentioned the
old-fashioned way.

“You had giggle water, sober my ass.” Percival laughed quietly. “No.” He ran a hand down his face.

“I like my face the way it is, we just gotta be sneaky.” He said with a chuckle, leaning on the other. “This… that way.” he said trying to pull the other with him down the street  towards Percival’s flat.

Carlos stumbled after him, giggling again. “I’m more sober than you!” he exclaimed. Though not quite loudly because they were being sneaky. “Sober compared to you.”

Carlos just grinned about the jokes.

He watched the stone walls as they passed by, mentally imagining this little figure jumping over the peaks in the stones and keeping up with the car. “I think we can do the Causeway first,” he said. “If you say it doesn’t take too long, then let’s go for it.”

“Alright, Causeway it is then. Maybe I’ll make a couple calls while we’re lookin’ around the gift shop or something, try and get us a room–– or two rooms, I guess, before we head out so we got some idea where we’re goin’ for the night.”

Carlos then looked at him curiously. “Two rooms?” he asked. “Why not just one with two beds?” Granted, the room he had was one bed… but that’s all he needed. “Oh, should we think about what to eat too? Carlos chuckled. “Alexa has standards, surprisingly – even as nice as she is,” Carlos replied with a smile. “I promise you, when the jokes come to me you’ll be the first to know. Whether you like it or not.” He winked with a little impish smirk on his face.

“Always give it a try, I’ll be sure to give ya my opinion on ‘em–– although, if they’re bad, I’m guessin’ a groan is what you’re aimin’ for, anyway, hmm?” As Hancock turned off onto another road, everything became narrower, the stone wall on the passenger side so close, Carlos could touch it if he opened the window, the cars passing on the driver’s side, just as close. “Alright, we should get there soon, do ya wanna try to find a hotel in the area first or head right to the Causeway? It should still be open for a few hours after we get there and it doesn’t take long to walk through, an hour or two, maybe.”

Carlos just grinned about the jokes.
