everything stop hurting….. halfnuts feeling a lot better to…” Motions to
the spring a bit below them and halfnut who was awake and relaxed
floating in the waters with Tullk.

Carlos peaked down and smiled. “Oh, that’s so nice to see,”
he said. “I had been worried… but if he’s feeling better, then that’s great.”
Carlos settled on the rock seat beside Yondu and sighed. This was very nice. He
could easily fall asleep there, he thought.

Carlos turned his head to glance at Hancock and he looked
back down at the bundle he had, still smiling. “Well, sort of,” he said. “I’m
not cooking it because… y’know, I can’t cook. It’s already made. I just need to
warm it up because I thought this would be perfect for the current season, with
how cold it’s been… you know?” He felt a little like he was blabbering a bit.
He was a little nervous, even though he knew Hancock would like what he sent
out for for dinner.

“Um… you wanna go ahead and get me a pot? To start warming
this up?”

“Of course, sunshine.” With a peck on the cheek, Hancock pulled away to fetch a pot from the cabinet, making a point to slide up close to Carlos’ side when he returned. “So what’re ya treating me to, anyway? Better than having Sugar Bombs again, I assume.”

“Definitely better
than Sugar Bombs,” Carlos assured him. Carlos took the pot with a grateful nod
and leaned in to press a kiss to Hancock’s mouth. He grinned and turned on the
heating element. “Do you wanna pick something to drink with it? Something nice?”
he suggested.

Yeah yeah, everything’s fine I just needed to ask,,

I have so many questions right now. But first, is there something that needs immediate attention? Like a diaper change or food or something?

he’s like 6, fully potty trained and stuff like that.

I think I’m doing okay so far,,, his name is Charlie.

That’s a good name. But Max, I’m just concerned because you’re a child yourself. And… well, you need to have time to yourself to be a kid.

I just wanted to know if you had like, and advice or something?

Um… well, I’m not the one raising my child. So I’m not sure
how much help I can be. Um…the main thing is to keep an eye on them at all
times. Kids get into all sorts of trouble… I’m sure you would know all about
that.

Alright, yeah. He’s been good so far, he’s met Nikki & Davey already.

Oh, that’s nice. They like him?

Yeah, Nikki taught him to dab so that’s,,, fun,,

“You got it. Do t need ravager soup. Hehe. Although I could eat you right up. Hehehe.”

Carlos laughed out loud at that. “I don’t know if you’re
being sweet or nasty!” he joked, giving Yondu a slight shove. But he leaned in
and pressed a kiss to the side of his head, grinning. “You’re lucky I think you’re
cute.”

Yondu smiles and nuzzles at him ears wiggling happily and kisses at him. “Your pretty damn cute too.”

A day later Yondu and crew were planet side enjoying the hot springs Yondu was in a private spring relaxing with a sigh. Each of the springs were separate from each other so plenty of privacy.

Carlos came up the path carrying a towel and a small bag
under his arm. He was wearing a pair of swimming shorts he’d gotten on M-Marvin-47
months ago as well as a red shirt that was like a graphic tee with a yellow and
blue script on it that translated to ‘Aesthetically Pleasing’.

When he saw Yondu sitting in the spring, Carlos paused for a
moment. He hadn’t really ever seen Centaurian without a shirt on and…wow. Those
were a lot of scars.

Carlos shook his head – no staring! – and he cleared his
throat. “I, uh… hey! I was a little surprised that you went off without me. Um,
Kraglin pointed me up here so I, uh… I went ahead and came up.” He was going to
ask if Yondu wanted him to leave, but decided against it – he didn’t want to
seem like he was anxious or anything.

“Naaa. Told him I was running ahead to get the best one private just for us with a view. Now come on in. The water is… greeeaaaat… mhmmmmm. So get your……” reads his shirt and smirks. “Aesthetically pleasing butt in here.”

Carlos smiled slightly and rolled his eyes. “I think this shirt was made by someone who wasn’t a native-speaker of Xandarian,” he said. “But the shirt was cheap and I was helping a small business, so I went ahead and got it.”

He set his bag and towel down on a nearby bench and toed off his shoes and socks. He hesitated for a moment, but finally grabbed the shirt and started to pull it up. Now to find out how Yondu felt about hairy people…

Yondu looks at him and grins at all the fur on him. “Terrians come fuzzy?!” Reaches out and pets the hair grinning.

Carlos blushed immediately. He reached up and playfully swat
at Yondu’s hand. “Hey! Mind yourself, big guy!” he said and laughed. God – that
had to be the first thing that Yondu
pointed out.

But then Carlos noticed something – a bit of loose skin that
flapped against Yondu’s belly when he reached up at Carlos. Well, that was
strange…

Yondu chuckles and motions for him to join him. Little did Carlos know he was commando with the bubbling you couldn’t tell. “Come in oh fuzzy one.”

Carlos just laughed and climbed down into the spring. The hot
water felt a bit thick against his skin – sort of like soft water in a shower.
Clearly there was something in the water. He only hoped it was all good stuff.
