“Happy Halloween!”

daddypooltm:

Send me “Happy Halloween!” and I’ll generate a number from 1-13 for something Halloween related for my muse to say to yours.

“I’m taking my daughter trick-or-treating that night, and since I’m their favorite parental figure, I’m almost positive I’m going to be able to convince her to give me half of her candy.”

Carlos looked to the other man in surprise. “Really?” he asked. “Well, that’d be awfully nice of her. Heh, you sure you shouldn’t be carrying around your own bag?”

the forest was quiet as usual til what sounded like a storm opened up from a small circle a few feet off the ground, complete with lightening flash off and striking trees but as quickly as the the ‘storm’ started, it ended, leaving only a few burn marks and a broken man on the ground -(sending this again cause i know tumblitch eats asks) dedmax, a starter for jon!

Carlos went out into the storm with his equipment, since the weather was really interesting around Sleepy Peak Peak (what, with Spooky island and that one side of the lake always being covered in dark, foreboding clouds).

As he approached one of the locations of a lightning strike however he paused, seeing a person on the ground. Oh no – did it strike someone?

Carlos hurried over and dropped his equipment to the side to start inspecting the body for life.

“He-hello? Hello, can you hear me? Sir?”

J: there was a moments pause before he answered “Yeah come in..!”

Carlos pushed open the door and smiled. “Hey there. How you doing?”

J: he winced slightly as he put on his shirt but smiled “Pretty good considering everything”

Carlos nodded. “That’s good to hear,” he said. He didn’t miss the wince. “Did they give you meds?” he asked.

J: “They tried, But I’m not to friendly to the idea of strangers putting small pills in My mouth, I’ve learned that lession..”

Carlos blinked. “Seriously? But this is a hospital… are you sure?” he asked.

J: he nods, limping walking towards him “Can we go now? The smells here are driving Me crazy..”

“Yeah, sure,” Carlos said. He offered Jon an arm to hold while he walked. “Let’s get you signed out, buddy.”

J: he aws abit confused about the gusture, but figured it out a couple seconds later. he smiled and nods “Sounds good”

Carlos led the way to the outside nurse’s station to get him signed out.

J: he tucked his tail away as they walked, glancing around the nurses station

Carlos worked on the paperwork that was given to him quickly. ONce done he turned to lead Jon out to his car. “So… where to?” he asked.

J: he thought for a moment “The camp is the closet place I know of with a portal to home, So I guess there”

“Right… okay then,” Carlos said. “Do you… mind telling me what caused you to leave through the portal in the first place?”

Carlos got up after him and followed, reaching ahead to take his hand.

“’And here, we see the Big Goof herding her young Goof to the nest’,” Carlos narrated, grinning cheekily. “’There they will get some much needed rest and bask in each other’s company. Tomorrow is a new day.’”

Hancock let out another snort and rolled his eyes as he tugged Carlos forward to make his way across the hall to the bedroom. “Now which one of us exactly is the young goof? Last I checked, this was my ‘nest’ but you’re older, ain’t ya?”

“I think so,” Carlos said. “I’m 35. Also, you were the ‘young goof’ because you already named me Big Goof. So there.” Carlos grinned as they went into the bedroom and he shut the door behind them. He reached to undo the clasp on his Pip-boy so he could put it down.

“Mr Stark,” Carlos began, his tone casual and conversational. “I have a hypothesis that I think I should run by you.”

Tony’s eyes widened with instant curiosity.  “Okay,” he said with an encouraging smile, “what’s your hypothesis?”

Carlos offered Stark a small smile back.

“It’s about you,” he said. They were alone in the lab at the moment – it was later and it had been a long day for everyone who wasn’t Carlos or Mr Stark – so Carlos felt like now was a good time to bring this up.

Now his face winced with a slight frown of puzzlement, but it relaxed again and Tony was smiling pleasantly.  “Was there someplace you felt would be more suitable to discuss this?” he asked with growing curiosity.

“This is fine,” Carlos assured him. Carlos hoped that Mr Stark wasn’t too nervous. It wasn’t anything bad. “Mr Stark, you’re probably one of the best employers out there. You treat everyone with the same amount of respect and regard. That is… except for me.” Carlos dropped his gaze then, his nerves starting to waver a bit but he still smiled a bit. “I mean… not everybody has one-on-one coffee with you. Nor do I think you make it a habit to let employees fall asleep on you in meetings.” Carlos glanced up at him again. “So, uh… I get the idea that I’m different? Somehow? That’s – that’s my hypothesis.” Carlos hoped to God that he wasn’t reading things wrong.
