“What makes you say that? I have been sleeping just fine!” Of course, that was a lie but why would he outwardly confess to being so sleep deprived from having nightmares almost every day due to Titan
Carlos wasn’t really convinced. He wasn’t a stranger to insomnia, even if his own was brought on by working too much.
“You, uh… seem unsteady, Spidey,” Carlos admitted. “The way you landed a minute ago… it just seemed strange. I might be the only one who noticed, but… I’m sorry, if I”m sounding like a dad or something. I’m just a little concerned…”
“You… you uh saw that?” He asked a handing coming to rest behind his head as he sighs heavily. “No… no, you’re fine, and you’re right I haven’t been getting much sleep.” Peter nods with the wave of his hand.
Sitting with his legs dangling over the roof, Peter pats the space beside him so Carlos could join him. “Truthfully I’ve been having troubles sleeping yuh know? Seventeen years old and I’m already losing sleep over traumas. You know sometimes… sometimes this whole Spider Man thing isn’t all that fun.”
Carlos was a little surprised when the spot was offered to him, but he reasoned that if Spidey thought he was in danger he could handle Carlos with no trouble. He sat down, though not facing the same way as Spidey (Spider-man had webs to catch him if he suddenly peeled over, but Carlos didn’t) and instead with his back to the city.
He perked up in attention however at what Spidey said. “You’re seventeen?“ he asked. “You’re so young… I’d assumed you were at least twenty.”
