to a bike like thing. Was that a old motor cycle. It seemed Yondu was a
collector of terran things too. “Been a long time since I rode It but
yeah. And don’t call him….. I don’t want police around.”

Carlos looked at the motorcycle, surprised. “I had no idea
you had this,” he told Yondu. It looked to be in good contition. He knocked on
the fuel tank and it sounded like it had stuff in it. “You’ve driven it before?”

“Yeah… few times on some random planets. Saw it liked it… took it….” rolls it down the ramp and once Carlos was out shut the ship up tight making it look like it wasn’t even there. He hopped on the motorcycle and starts it up looking to carlos.

Carlos frowned. “You took it?” he asked. “As in, it might be
registered as a stolen vehicle?” That would be problematic of the police found
them with it… among other things.

“About…. 15+ years ago yeah. Stole it while waiting for petey to reveal himself…. “ starts it up and motions for him to hop on. “Just point me in the right direction and hold on.” Smiles Erving the engine. He had this look on his face that said everything. He was excited to get riding.

“That’s… that’s a long time, Yondu,” Carlos said, but
feeling better about the time gap he thought maybe it would be okay. He slid
into the seat behind Yondu and put his arms around him. “This road’s a 45,” he
explained to Yondu. “You know how your speedometer works?”

“Uhhhhhh sure. Not really. We’ll wing it..” revs the engine and speeds off getting out of the woods then darts down the road. At least he knew how to ride it. That was a plus. He’d tease him by revving and speeding up making him Hold on tighter and grins. In short time they made it to Carlos’s home and he parked up in the wooded area to conceal the motorcycle. “Here we are…..your home.” Gets off the cycle then looks to him making sure the good was up and concealed his face following him tonthe door.

Carlos yelped and he clung to Yondu the entire way to his house.

Getting off the motorcycle he felt a little wobbly – it had
been a long while since he’d been on a vehicle with such crude movements. But
he stopped for a moment and got his balance back. He sighed and looked to
YOndu. They had things to talk about later about road safety.

Walking to the door Carlos was slow. He couldn’t believe
that he was on the walkway to his front door –the walkway that his Dad put in
when he and his brother were toddlers. He stopped when he saw the handprints he
and Mikey had put in next to their Dad’s on one of the panels of the walkway.

“Tripplesix
killed him in an attempt to get me to become a god.” said arsenic, in a
voice that sounded like raindrops, and the absence of a beloved pet.

Carlos’ face fell immediately, and he felt a twinge of fear
in him. The other him was dead. That was… scary. And unsettling.

“Is… there a chance that this Tripplesix is… still active
and dangerous enough to hurt me?” he asked carefully.

“In the multiverse, if you can get to the soul of the dead person before the litereral incarnation of death, you can keep there soul, an possibly put it in a robot body. I will, in the unlikely case that you die, to grab your soul and put it in a robot body.” arsenic said, involuntarily recalling the death of there own version of carlos.

That didn’t sound good at all to Carlos. “You didn’t answer
my question,” Carlos pointed out. “Is there a chance I’d get hurt?”

“W-well, yes,” said arsenic, getting increasingly worried that there friends and family would never get there memorys back “th-there is s-some chance you could die, but i c-clould biuld a r-robot b-body for your soul.”

Carlos sighed. He shut his eyes. He felt bad about Arsenic’s
friends, he really did, but… there were things in his own life that he had to
consider.

“I’m so sorry – I really am,” he began. “But… I don’t know
about your version of me, but I have
a husband and a daughter. I can’t put them in a position of where they lose a
member of their family.”

“ i aplogize,” arsenic said “it was foolish of me to belive you would endanger yourself like that.”

Carlos just frowned. “I’m sorry… I’m a scientist, not… whoever
you thought I was.” He was quiet for a moment. “Is there anything I can help
out with from here?”

*he
pulls the piocture out from under his pillow, a tall dark figure
infront of some trees, the figure has large yellow eyes a sewn up mouth,
it’s drawn in crayan and kinda crappy, but Max looks proud of his work*
this is what they look like

*Carlos studies the picture.* really… kind of Slender-man-esque. Do they have mouths? I know you drew one here, but is it what you saw?

hey d- Carlos, sense you already meet Darcy, do you wanna come to our wedding when we get married? *he smiles*

I mean, I have to I guess. But I had no idea – you guys are just kids, aren’t you??

@dedmaxsearchhistory

yup, but we love each other! i don’t really know why age matters when you love someone..

That’s… more for adults than kids, Max. Your guys’ brain
literally isn’t fully developed for decision-making. That’s why people spend
18-22 years with their parents before moving out.
